Andys information is usually spot on. I am a little late arriving to this post. I am wondering if the attitude is still the same regarding nofollow? I think that we might be seeing a resurgance of follow blogs now, it really is just a matter of monitoring your comments for quality. I think the rewards are worth the effort.

Great post Andy. I also just read your how a blogroll can kill your pagerank and I didn't realize how much link love I was giving away. I used to have about 20 but I got rid of half. I only kept the ones that loved me back haha. Thanks for the info!

Google will never disclose the real objective/usability of “nofollow” tag. If google declared that it doesnt follow “nofollow” tag, then it doesnt necessarily means that you can add a-d-u-l-t or any other links on your website using nofollow :(.

Webmasters around the world believe in what google openly said in any conference (BLAH BLAH BLAH), but they never come to know what Google instructed their search operators/programmers behind the closed doors of their lavish offices ;).

Its best to rely on personal experience and online blogs. Several webmaters are still lurking in dark over the exact functionality of nofollow attribute, and how does it actually behave when confronted with Google, Yahoo or MSN crawlers.

There is no need to use a related articles plugin with UTW, it is a built in function.

The only related post plugin I use is one to add the UTW related posts to my feed.

I will do a recap post with various way to add internal linking that is related to your page.
