Sick of following twitterers based on subject matter then getting junk twitters selling me a whole host of products.
Prefer to just keep my friends on twitter, even though at times they can be just as annoying.

This new product is a lot more focused on specific targeting

You sell gift baskets.

There is no way I am ever going to follow someone talking about gift baskets all day

Thus there are 3 choices

just be friendly and don’t talk about your product much
just blast out offers and seo your profile
laser target people asking about gift baskets in your area, add viral stuff to your website etc

I too thought Twitter would be a great place for traffic at first, however I think it just takes a bit of time. I also think that most places as Twitter, are just a way to get your name out there. The more there are the more the people will see!

I though Twitter would be a good place to get traffic but it's really now, at least in my experience. People on Twitter just want to chat and there is a ton of SPAM, so nobody pays any attention to any links in a tweet.

I am going to be totally honest, tools and training about twitter don't excite me – I use Twitter, I have a fair few followers on Twitter and follow lots of people too, but my use isn't strategic, and might also be a time sink because of that… but that is ok.
