I have written a fairly long email to the Adsense team, asking for clarifications on 4 points

1. Use of Adsense Backgrounds
2. Context with Chitika
3. Search on Chitika
4. Placement of a Chitika eMinimal that contains images next to an Adsense rectangle

keep in mind that today’s changes are policy changes and not TOS changes which still read:

“If You have elected to receive content or Site-based Ads, You further agree not to display on any Serviced Page any non-Google content-targeted advertisement(s).”

seems to indicate to me that they still disallow contextual ads….

if in doubt though – ask AdSense
