Did I Link to a Dmoz Editor?

Unlike most SEO concious people, I didn’t submit this site to Dmoz. I just decided that if it was going to happen, it would happen. A while back I did apply to be a Dmoz editor for a very off the beaten track section (that was being heavily abused and where I could add a lot of value), but I gave up trying to get my application accepted.

I just noticed something in my MyBlogLog stats, I think it was the editor checking the link he entered, or maybe someone moderating links a junior editor submitted.

Whoever decided to add my site to Dmoz, many thanks, though please stay anonymous.

Alphabetical lists are always nice when your name begins with “A”

dmoz

I am now going to have to add a new meta instruction not to use the dmoz listing

I can’t remember the editors name but he responded in my blog awhile back when I made a similar post. What he said was that I was “voted in” so it looks like someone also likes you. Just be good cuz what they giveth can be taken away. ;-o

Congratulations Andy. Despite what everyone thinks, editors are not in it for the money or out to get anyone. They do add sites by themselves.

It should be noted that the search for your site will not show any results. This is an ongoing issue.

Now all you have to do is wait for Google Directory to suck you up. :)
