"If I log in and look at my friends links, I can't use them to get the pages they were raving about. How silly is that"

That isn't what nofollow does, fragrances.

No follow primarily means that Google does not pass Page Rank or count the link as a backlink in the backlink counts. People can still click on the links and visit the pages.

This is where including a link to your blog which tells me something about you, rather than to your company site with anchor text that suggests you might have just commented for a link doesn't serve your purpose.

I would have been happy to help diagnose the problem

I’ve just made my blog and I noticed that the keyword search doesn’t work in it. For instance, I posted something entitled Jeep: Manila’s Finest. But when I searched for this post using the exact words I was told that there’s no match in my search.

I have to admit that I was a little bit shocked when I read a certain portion of this post regarding social bookmarking links...you said that many of them are strict with "nofollow." That's incredibly odd to me considering the fact that social bookmarking is extensively dependent on links without the linking aspect, there's no way to do the bookmarking. If I log in and look at my friends links, I can't use them to get the pages they were raving about. How silly is that? I think that the social bookmarking sites deserve credit for getting users to participate in their service and bookmark links through said service, don't you? On that same token, do you think it's fair that your blog should be given the opportunity to get the higher google rankings based on linking when other services and blogs are not afforded the same opportunity due to the nofollow rules of many sites and links? It seems that Google is taking their rules and managing to weed out some very great bloggers and other pages simply because of clicking and linking that isn't available to everyone.
