MyBlogLog – Social Networking Opportunity

I decided to write a second MyBlogLog post in a row, just to give a positive indication of how MyBloglog can and should be used.

I just received a contact request from Joe Beaulaurier of PRWeb. He had visited my blog, maybe liked what he read, and had also already joined my community. There is a fair chance he has also subscribed to my RSS feed.

MyBlogLog Plutoed?

MyBlogLog is a service I enjoy using, and which provides me with a significant amount of quality readers.

But it is becoming devalued

Recently Andy Beal decided to issue a free Zune MP3 player to a member of his MyBlogLog community. I actually thought this was a good idea to encourage people to use the service, as Andy has a high readership. Thus I did link through to him in my post “MyBlogLog – Antisocial Behaviour?”.

UK & Euro Laws Apply to US Businesses?

It is taken as fact that a UK online business has to comply with US FTC regulations if that UK company is doing business with the US.

Surely if you are a US company, doing business with the UK, you should have to comply with UK regulations.

Memes – Viral Blogging

Before Christmas I was actually tagged twice for the 5 things about you meme, and didn’t have time to respond.

First of all by Teli, and then by Eve

So here is my response, and as I can’t think of suitable 5 people to add to the list, I am going to play meme-pong and fire the z-list back at them ;)

UK Internet Marketing Castrated | SI (3429 of 2006)

I regret to inform you that this is serious news, and if you run your business from the UK, and have a website, this probably affects you.

It affects you even more, and places you at a serious competitive disadvantage, if you are involved with Niche or Internet Marketing, in topics you don’t want your competitors knowing about, especially if click-fraud attacks are a danger.

Stomper Net 2.0 – Joint Ventures Redefined

Lots of people may have watched the launch of the Original Stomper Network a few months ago. From all accounts those who joined are happy they did, but this is definitely a course for people already making serious money online. If a small percentage turnover increase won’t pay for the course many times over, it isn’t something to seriously think about.

Pageflakes Affiliate Program

Pageflakes Conversions

One of the affiliate programs I am monetizing my Disclosure Policy Plugin site with is Pageflakes.

The affiliate program is PPA, and thus requires a signup to receive a payment.

You would think that as it is free, and actually quite cool and useful, people who clicked through to take a look might be inclined to signup and give Pageflakes a try, even if they ultimately decided to continue using something else.
