WOOT Creating Twitter Splogs
If an affiliate created a blog and fed a datafeed to that blog, a large proportion of the blogosphere would regard that blog as a splog, especially if it was on blogspot.

Om Malik recent was taking a look at Rojo from a traffic perspective. What he didn’t touch on, although he did refer to a previous post, was that the Rojo page was actually a very poor quality splog.
Wikipedia NoFollow Plugin? WikiDigg?
The news today seems to be that Wikipedia have added nofollow to external links.
I have seen a lot of sites mention that all the search engines respect nofollow. Actually they don’t. Anlaysis has shown that Yahoo certainly follow and index pages despite the nofollow tag.

It is interesting how your perception of new technology can vastly depend on how you have interacted with them, and how the developers have responded. Unfortunately in the case of the recently launched niche tracking startup, "rank" has multiple definitions, including one items position related to another based upon a particular rating, or a rather offensive smell.
At its core, my first impression of SocialRank niche websites was that it was little more than a Wordpress splog scraping my content based upon keywords used and giving some kind of relevant or irrelevant ranking based upon some internal algorithm.
